Artist Talk: Runo Lagomarsino, 2010

Artist Runo Lagomarsino talks about his practice and the project he is currently developing at BAC.

Runo Lagomarsino was born in 1977. He lives and works in Malmö. In 2007-2008 Runo Lagomarsino participated in the Whitney Independent Study Program, New York. He received his MFA from Malmö Art Academy, Sweden in 2003. Working in different media such as video, drawing, sculptural objects and photography, his practice explores how today’s political and social environments have developed through different discursive and historical processes, which produce representations and metaphors through which we read and re-read history and society.

Runo Lagomarsino is at BAC during February as part of the Artist-in-Residence program for Nordic and Baltic artists funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
