The part-time (50%) position involves 3 days per week and the post holder is required to work according to a flexible schedule and outside of core hours during programmes and events.
The salary is commensurate with experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Coordinator is responsible for
Project, production and residency management:
– all practical aspects of the different programmes and demands of the project’s and artist’s budget, administration, planning and development for productions/hired services in close dialogue with the director
– organizing and administrating hired services, rental of equipment, premises and facilities continuously reporting to the director on expenses
– technical issues, collecting quotes, researching and arranging the required equipment, materials, and organising freelance assistance
– assisting the director in budgeting, fundraising and external communications
– answering general enquiries about BAC
Office and premises:
– maintaining the condition of the office and apartments, general running and operation of the premises, and arranging for necessary repairs and supplies
– recording office expenditure and managing the budget, maintaining supplies of stationery and equipment
– the maintenance of the company car (inlc. insurance, cleaning, annual inspection and service)
– for all insurance issues related to BAC (employees, car, materials, art works, etc.), reviewing and updating health and safety policies, arranging regular testing for electrical equipment and safety devices
– administrating the contracts for visiting artists and guests, as well as the invoices, and arranging payment of stipends and per diems
– administrating the schedule for professional visits and residential stays
– administrating the director`s meeting schedule and travels
– arranging the technical equipment, their operation and maintenance and, if necessary, their hiring upon need for residents, guests and public events
Website:
– updating and translating texts from English to Swedish, sending out newsletters
Essential qualifications:
· Skilled organizer, having at least 2 years of proven experience in project managing
· Experience with working with international artists and artistic productions
· Well-developed administrative and communicational competences with an eye for detail and day-to-day accuracy
· Experience with accounting, planning and handling budgets
· Insight into practical aspects of artistic productions and technical know-how
· Knowledge and interest in the Swedish art scene, cultural politics and funding bodies
· Prepared to move to Gotland and be based on the island
· Willing and interested in developing a network on the island and in general represent BAC’s local anchoring on Gotland.
· Driving license
· Independence and self-motivation
· Open and friendly attitude
· Ability to handle stressful situations and multi-tasking
· Adapt to flexible working hours and tasks
· Have excellent spoken and written Swedish and fluency in English
Desirable qualifications:
· Experience in fundraising and communication
· Knowledge of Gotland
