Baltic Art Center this summer presents Patty Chang, New York and Bill Viola, Los Angeles. Performance artist Patty Chang will show videoprojections in the BAC exhibition space. Bill Violas “The Messenger”was commissioned for Durham Cathedral 1996 by The Chaplaincy for Arts and Recreation in NorthEast England. This exhibition has been managed and coordinated by BALTIC, Gateshead, England. In Visby “The Messenger” will be shown in the medieval church ruin of St. Lars (St. Lawrence).
