Aimar Arriola: Cultural practices in contexts of dictatorial regimes: Andalusia in the 70s as case study
Aimar Arriola’s work lies at the crossroads between research, critical theory and curatorial practice, and emphasizes on providing a direct response to specific work-contexts. As part of his recent participation at MACBA’s Independent Studies Program (Barcelona, Spain), he has conducted a collective research project on dissident artistic practices in the Spanish context of the late 70s/early 80s.
Maria Ptqk: Soft Power. Art and Technologies in The Biopolitical Age
Maria Ptqk is a cultural producer and researcher working at the confluence of technology, cultural studies, gender and media. She is the curator of Soft Power. Art and Technologies in The Biopolitical Age, a project on biotechnology that took place in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Spain) in 2009.
The talks are presented in collaboration with Instituto Cervantes and Swedish Travelling Exhibitions.
